POWER SOURCE is one of the legendary names of the Israeli psychedelic trance movement and a project that helped shape the sound of Goa and Psychedelic Trance during the genre’s formative years.
Founded in Tel Aviv in 1994 by Shahaf Shvarzman, Nati Mishali, and Nati Bit, POWER SOURCE quickly emerged as one of the most innovative and recognizable acts of the mid-90s trance explosion. Combining hypnotic Goa melodies, driving psychedelic grooves, and a distinctive musical identity, the project became known for producing dancefloor classics that remain influential to this day.
The project’s first releases, including The Calling, Everest (1994), Goaway/Gragamel EP (1996), and Granada / Tinkerball (1996), established POWER SOURCE as one of the leading forces of the international Goa Trance scene. Released through iconic labels such as Phonokol, Matsuri Productions, and Transient Records, these tracks became staples of the underground trance movement and helped define an entire generation of psychedelic music.
Throughout the late 1990s, the project continued to evolve with releases such as Housekeeper (1997), Skywalker (1999), and the acclaimed debut album Cosmic Waves (1999), a release that remains highly regarded among trance collectors and enthusiasts around the world.
As the project evolved, its lineup changed. Nati Mishali departed in 1997, followed by Nati Bit in 2000, leaving Shahaf Shvarzman to continue POWER SOURCE as a solo project while preserving the spirit and musical vision that made the project so influential.
Over the following decades, POWER SOURCE remained an important name within the global psychedelic community, returning with new releases while continuing to perform and connect with audiences who grew up on the project’s unmistakable sound. Releases such as Sparks EP (2011)and the album Xoxo (Dacro Records 2017) demonstrated that the project was still evolving while remaining faithful to its roots.
Today, more than three decades after its creation, POWER SOURCE continues to inspire old and new generations of trance lovers alike. The recent release of Skywalker (Undercraft Remix) in 2026 serves as another reminder of the project’s lasting impact and continued relevance within psychedelic trance culture.
